Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
I know it’s been a very long, long time since my last blog post.  I assure you I’m still here and still stamping, I’ve just been busy and blogging wasn’t a priority with all the other stuff I had going on.  Sorry about that!

Anyway, I am all inspired by the amazing new stuff that Stampin’ Up! is bringing to us this year.  It’s their 25th year anniversary and that means lots of special offers and goodies for us.  Yippee!

Today I want to share with you a very special promotion that is on right now, but it finishes on Monday 21st January so if you want in on this, you’ll have to be in quick!  I’m late sharing it because I wasn’t sure I was going to take part myself, but it didn’t take too much to convince me.

My Little Valentine is the name of a super cute stamp set that’s only available as a clear mount set, for $21.95 (plus shipping) from now until Monday.  When you order this, you’ll receive a FREE Sealed with Love Simply Sent kit that is on page 35 of the Holiday catalogue.  That’s worth $19.25!  Awesome offer.  I weakened and bought the stamp set myself because I particularly like the “For You” stamp which fits the smallest oval punch that we have, and I realised that the Simply Sent kit will actually be useful for occasions other than Valentine’s Day.  I should mention for overseas readers, here in NZ we pretty much only make one Valentine’s card for a significant other, our kids don’t have to take lots of Valentines treats to school for their classmates.  So Valentine’s Day products sometimes have fairly limited use in our part of the world, sadly!

I took a few shots for you (please excuse any fuzzy photos, I’m in need of a new camera, where is Santa when you need him?!).  Here’s the contents of the Simply Sent kit, which has supplies for 10 cute pre-printed notes & envelopes:

Here’s a shot of the stamp set and the first project I made:

And a close up of the project:

I simply die cut a heart shape in Pool Party cardstock using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit die, then stamped the cute greeting using Real Red ink on Whisper White scrap card.  I cut that out by hand and layered it up on the heart using a dimensional.  Then I added a little bling.  Super quick and easy!  I think this may be the one that hubby gets next month.  Although of course he won’t appreciate the texture and bling so much, but too bad!

I did another quick one using the other printed note – there are 5 of each style in the kit.  This one may go to Miss 8, who expects to get a Valentine’s Day treat from Mummy each year.  Only because I mess around making Valentine’s projects and figure I may as well give her one!  For this one I used the Fashionable Hearts embosslit, I’ve been wanting to use that one for a while now!

I thought I had better show you the envelope properly.  You can fold them to show either pattern on the outside.  The tie is done using the pre-cut pieces in the kit, you just stick them on using the dimensionals in the kit and stick the baker’s twine in there at the same time.  Easy!

Hope you liked these!  Let me know quick if you want to order the stamp set and score your free card kit!

Back soon (I promise!!),  Sale-A-Bration opens in 3 days…. woo hoo!
