Hi everyone,
Yes, it’s me. I haven’t disappeared off the face of the earth, as many of my “regular” readers might think! Thanks to those of you who checked up on me! I have quite a few of you sign up for feedblitz updates since you know I’ve been so sporadic in my blogging frequency, and that way you don’t have to keep coming here and checking. Yes yes, I know, I know!
Well, I have a good reason for letting the blogging slip, I have a big announcement – I’ve launched another business! Yes, that’s right, I never was good at doing one thing at a time. I am now the proud owner of Snorepro Southern Auckland, and I custom make and fit anti-snoring devices. Not what you were expecting, was it?!
When I was “researching” the business opportunity, everyone I asked seemed to either be putting up with a chronic snorer in their home, had a friend who was one, or they snored themselves. So now, I get to help people who have suffered from poor sleep for years, and make a difference in their lives. The spouse of one of my first customers told me that I will be saving marriages and changing lives. She’s gone from wearing ear plugs and sleeping with her head at the other end of the bed, to having a blissful, quiet night’s sleep every night. How wonderful is that?
If you’re a snorer or know someone who is and you think they might like me to solve that issue once and for all, please check out the Snorepro website for more information – click HERE. You’ll find me listed on the “contact us” page along with the others who also make Snorepro devices, I have joined a wonderful group of people! The product has a 98% success rate, it really works, and there’s a money back guarantee! Don’t forget to ask me about the “stamping friends” discount!
OK, but you didn’t come here to find out about my new “day job” now did you. Well I have good news for you – as a result of my new occupation, I am finally getting the push I need to get organised with my Stampin’ Up! events. I’m not giving up my stamping business, no way! So I am working on scheduling my classes a bit more ahead of my normal regime (which was kind of “should I do a class this weekend? OK then…”) and the next two class dates AND a launch party are set:
– Sunday March 18th, 2pm: One Sheet Wonder class. Stamp one sheet of cardstock to make your own background paper, I’ll show you how to cut that up and you’ll go home with a set of 6 different cards and coordinating envelopes! You even get to choose feminine or masculine cards (please let me know which you prefer, when booking in, by March 14th) Class fee $20, limited seats left!
– Sunday March 25th 2pm: gift set of masculine cards, using The Open Sea stamp set and Nautical Expedition designer papers from the current mini catalogue. These have been such popular items this year! Cost $25, please RSVP by March 19th.
– Sunday 1st April, 2pm – 5pm: new mini catalogue launch! (And no, this is not an April Fool’s joke!). The new mini has some fabulous products in it that I am already playing with and loving it! Come and check them out, make a card and pick up your free copy of the mini catalogue when you place an order on the day. This event is free to attend but you must RSVP by March 28th, please!
And last but not least, here’s the crafter’s eye candy you really came to see! Nearly 3 weeks ago was our Auckland Extravaganza and my project was a fun card and a little chocolate treat.
The card showcased the emboss resist technique and showed off the Spice Cake patterned paper and coordinating Spiced Paisley stamp set. I used the Two Tags die to make a magnetic piece that serves as an embellishment on the card but can be removed and used as a bookmark, it folds over a page of your favourite novel to mark your place. A card and gift in one, plus a chocolate treat using the other tag shape from the Two Tags die. Oh and it also used two of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, Fresh Vintage and Outlined Occasions, which of course you can earn for free with a $120 order, until March 31st.
This was a fun and quick project to make. I still have some kits on hand for this, it would make a great workshop or quick class project. So if you’d like to get some friends together and have me come and teach it to you, just let me know!
Thanks for sticking with me! Have a wonderful weekend!

Rachael I wish I had been able to come to the Extravaganza as your card and chocolate treat are gorgeous. Wishing you loads of success (and fun too) in your new business. How exciting!

Great to see you back blogging again Rachael and I love the card and tags you put up on this post. The two tag die is so versatile.
